MHFA for Schools & Colleges has been designed to meet the specific needs of educational environments. Based on the Youth MHFA Course, it covers key topics around young people’s mental health and wellbeing, with a strong practical focus on how to support young people experiencing mental distress. Whilst not a replacement for the Youth MHFA Course, participants will become Champions for better mental health in schools.
The course will cover:
- What is mental health?
- Stigma and discrimination
- Non-judgmental listening skills
- The five steps of mental health first aid
- Eating disorders
A one-day course, it fits perfectly into training days. The training will be a mix of presentation, group discussion and group work activities.
Group bookings: £95 per person (incl of VAT) for a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 16 participants.
Wellspring also runs regular courses open to individual bookings; please see upcoming training for details.
