One-Day Youth MHFA

MHFA_important_in_schools_thumbnailThe One-Day Youth MHFA has been designed to meet the specific needs of educational environments. Based on the Youth MHFA Course, it covers key topics around young people’s mental health and wellbeing, with a strong practical focus on how to support young people experiencing mental distress. Whilst not a replacement for the Youth MHFA Course, participants will become Champions for better mental health in schools.

The course will cover:

  • What is mental health?
  • Stigma and discrimination
  • Non-judgmental listening skills
  • The five steps of mental health first aid
  • Depression
  • Suicide
  • Anxiety
  • Self-harm
  • Eating disorders
  • Psychosis

A one-day course, it fits perfectly into training days. The training will be a mix of presentation, group discussion and group work activities.

Group bookings: £960 – minimum group size of 8. Additional participants £75 per person. Maximum group size 16. Prices inclusive of VAT

Wellspring also runs regular courses open to individual bookings; please see upcoming training for details.
