On Thursday 10th October, would you #DressGreen for mental health and fundraise to support Wellspring’s counselling service?
World Mental Health Day is on 10th October and this year the international theme is: “It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace“.
According to the ONS on 2022 the 5th most common reason for sickness absence in the UK was mental health 1 and back in 2017 it was estimated that 15% of UK workers have an existing mental health condition 2. There is a high chance that you have been affected by a mental health condition or you know someone that has. At Wellspring we echo those findings as the local demand for our services is increasing year on year.
Joining with us and wearing green for the day is a great way to start a conversation about mental health, especially in the workplace, and raise funds to support our vital services.
What do I need to do?
1 – Find your green outfit.
This could be one green item, or going all out head to toe with green accessories! You could even get creative and throw a green party, green lunch or anything green themed!
2 – Spread the word!
Tell everyone what you’re doing and why. We want everyone to talk about mental health. Maybe you could gather a team of friends, work colleagues or your school to join in too.
Download our poster to put in your office or your school.
Download our socials to share – don’t forget to tag us #DressGreen.
3 – Get ready and #DressGreen on 10th October!
Can I choose another day?
If you can’t do 10th October, but you can choose any day that suits you best, just remember to tell people why!
How do I make this a fundraiser for Wellspring?
You can donate directly to us here.
Or, you can also create your own #DressGreen giving page on JustGiving that is linked to Wellspring.
Get talking
Remember to spread the word that mental health matters. If you are joining in, please do send us your #DressGreen images or tag us on social media using #DressGreen – we want you to be seen as you #DressGreen!
Thank you so much for your support!
