This session will dive into understanding the difference between substance use and addiction and how to respond effectively in and outside the therapy room including challenges to effective working, assessment tools and onward referral.
Plus, get training with naloxone, a life-saving tool you might need one day.
Substance Use and Addiction including Naloxone Training
Date: Saturday 30th January 2027
Time: 10.00 am – 4.00 pm (5 hours of CPD)
Cost: £75. Prices are inclusive of VAT, CPD certificate and light refreshments (no lunch provided).
Venue: This training will be run in person in our Garden Room at Wellspring House, 78 High Street, Starbeck, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG2 7LW.
About the trainer
Cheryl Parker is a qualified Social Worker and Accredited Counsellor volunteering at Wellspring Therapy & Training. She has worked in the Substance Use field for the past 20 years with both adults and young people practicing a health based, Harm Reduction approach with people who use alcohol and other drugs.
