Our Trustee, Reverend Phil Carman, is leaving Wellspring’s Trustees as he is taking up a new post at Holy Trinity Church Ripon leaving his church at St Andrew’s Starbeck.
We’ve loved having Revd Phil oversee what we do and leading us in prayer. When our basement was flooded in 2024 Revd Phil was quick to offer St Andrew’s in Starbeck as a base for our training which was pretty amazing considering they were dealing with their own flood damage as well!
Chair of Trustees John Wood commented:
“It’s been wonderful working with Phil, his passion and compassion for what we do has been uplifting. His calmness and focus when we have been faced with difficult ethical dilemmas has been very helpful, we’ll miss him.”
Revd Phil Carman’s new church is already a supporter of Wellspring and is where Wellspring’s Chief Executive, Nick Garrett, first went to church as a youngster.
Phil said:
“I’ve enjoyed my time being a Trustee at Wellspring and will remain a firm supporter of this fantastic Christian charity, I encourage everyone to pray for the continued success and give thanks for the wonderful counsellors.”
The Trustees will be looking for a new church leader to join the Trustees.
