Our Chief Exec, Nick Garrett, visited The Forest School in Knaresborough today to help pupils commemorate armistice day.
Pupils read poems and placed poppies they had made at a memorial during a whole school assembly where Nick played the Last Post.
Louise Graham, Assistant Principal, thanked Nick saying:
“the children responded really well, having someone come in and actually play the Last Post has made a strong impression, thank you for supporting our children and our Remembrance event.”
Wellspring continues to reach out to and support children and young people where they are in whatever way we can. Nick commented:
“Our mission is to improve the lives of children and young people in our area, especially their mental health. It’s lovely to support Forest School, the children are amazing, and the staff work incredibly hard.”
Forest School supports the learning of pupils with an Education and Health Care Plan from Early Years to Year 11 (3-16 years old). We hope to visit The Forest School soon to see if there are opportunities to work together to support families, children and young people.
